Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos

The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is among the most effective combos that I've tested. Its base station features a large dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less susceptible to hair tangles than single bristles.

Its mopping performance is excellent and its AI mapping excels in eliminating obstacles. It is also able to pause its cleaning job and resume it where it left off.

1. Roomba Combo j9+

The Roomba Combo J9+ is an all-in-one robot mop and vacuum cleaner that is among the most sophisticated on the market. It comes with a sleek, self emptying Clean Base which can be used to store up to two mopping cycles. It's designed to look and feel like a desk. It is the only robot we have tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and replenishes the pads for cleaning after each mopping and vacuum cycle.

The mopping arm sits unobtrusively on the top of the unit until it is able to detect hard floors, then it lowers to begin scrubs. It moves slowly and carefully over surfaces to ensure that it doesn't accidentally spill wet spills or mud on carpeted areas. It does a great job in staying out of the way of furniture, cords and other obstacles.

It's more intelligent than other robot vacs, too thanks to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to customize your cleaner's settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set cleaning times and schedules and more. The app also provides detailed maps of your home, seasonal tips as well as custom cleaning routines and intuitive smart-home integrations.

This combination robot vac and mop uses iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping technology to recognize objects such as sofas, counters, and tables. And  Continue  can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to make cleaning your home hands-free.

In contrast to other mopping and vacuum robots, the Roomba j9+ creates an entire map of your home seven times faster than previous models and labels each area by floor type, ensuring that it will always remember to vacuum or mop where you want it. It also features an iRobot Turbo Mode that boosts suction in difficult areas. And with iRobot's Dirt Detective it can be able to identify your habits of cleaning and preferences to automatically adjust cleaning priorities and settings, like mop scrubbing movements, for the dirtiest parts of your home.

2. Yeedi M12 Pro+

The Yeedi M12 Pro+, with its user-friendly app and top-quality features is a formidable rival in the world of automated vacuum and mop robots. Its suction power is powerful and cutting-edge mopping technology make it the ideal cleaning companion for smart houses. Its affordable price and smart automation also make it a perfect choice for households that are on a budget.

Download and launch the Yeedi App and follow the directions on the screen to connect the M12 to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you will be asked to give your robot an individual name. It's important to remember that the M12 can only be used on 2.4 GHz networks only.

The M12 provides a variety of cleaning modes for vacuuming and mopping. Its innovative design lets it map a room in less than six minutes and adjust its cleaning route accordingly. Its advanced mopping features include dual spinning pads, as well as electronically controlled water and a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures thorough cleaning of all edges.

In terms of navigation In terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR, IR, and 3D structured light to avoid obstacles. Its sensors are good at picking up larger objects like HVAC vents and furniture. They can struggle to detect smaller objects, such as cables or small rags. This could cause the robots to miss certain areas.

The M12 can also detect and navigate stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also be programmed to return to its OMNI station to wash and dry mop brushes and replenish its water tanks. When the batteries are depleted the OMNI station will even automatically empty the bin of dust and clean itself.

3. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra robot cleaner is the cutting edge of robotic cleaning. It packs a lot of features in a tiny package. It has the highest mopping capacity and a camera that can be used for improved obstacle avoidance and a powerful vacuum that has the ability to sense when it's going over carpets. It also has advanced intelligence and voice assistant capabilities.

It performs impressively as a vacuum cleaner and mop, and can complete our 1,500-square-foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. The mop automatically cleans itself between uses. This reduces the cost of maintenance while keeping its pads clean. In addition to this the dock sensor that can detect when the mop pad is dirty and initiates washing to keep it clean.

The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, features an intelligent system that can recognize household items like shoes and pet waste by using cameras and LIDAR. It performed well in our obstacle avoidance test with just one minor hiccup (it became stuck while unwinding a ball wool that was tangled around its brush arm).

The S8 MaxV Ultra boasts a new suction power of 10,000pa. power, more than double its predecessor. This makes it a good option for homes with a lot of carpet and a variety of flooring kinds. The vacuum can be programmed to automatically increase the suction when it comes across crumbs or dust.

Similar to previous models, several docking stations are able to be set up to automate the cleaning and mopping process. It can also be connected to the plumbing of your home using a an specialized dock that drains and refills the water tank automatically when it's done.

4. Dreametech X40 Ultra

The Dreame X40 Ultra is the most recent model of the top robot mop and vacuum from Dreame and offers some features that Dreame's less expensive models lack. It features top-quality suction and mops hard floors with a plethora of ease. It also comes with many advanced features, including self-detangling roller brushes and auto-extending mop heads, that make it a perfect option for cleaning hands-free. The only noises are the occasional low hum from its motor, and brief bursts of sucking when cleaning. Its navigation system is awe-inspiring, as it uses cameras with 3D-structured light and multiple lasers to detect and avoid obstacles, and this helps the X40 Ultra achieve one of the highest scores for obstacle avoidance in our tests.

5. Eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that has been developed to be user-friendly. The gunmetal base station automatically fills up its own tank with clean water, then empty the dust bin into a smaller bin and washes and dries its own mop pads in between cleaning sessions. It is equipped with advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and remove pet hair from carpets and clean thresholds for rooms that are raised.

The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping, thanks to its internal dToF system. It can maintain an unobtrusive appearance while providing top-notch object detection. It can drive close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps, and it can also raise its mop when driving over rugs and carpets with a short pile. However, it did struggle with carpets with a longer pile and also large, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only the initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. Once that's done the map will be displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged depending on the need. You can also create virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't want the robot to touch certain objects.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it a good choice for homes with both types of flooring however, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning solution (which is included in the box) could make it less flexible than other robots that let you make your own cleaning solutions.
